Soft and elegant, with a gorgeous palette of visuals, the video journals an efficient, creative team working at the height of their game.

Kicking off fashion’s favorite season, the Ninelight team journeyed to upstate New York with Hue Journal to a classic hillside getaway amid the falling leaves to create a video journal of their autumn photo shoot. The video was commissioned for use on social media, digital branding, and product-focused marketing.

The Hue stylists, working with over fifty outfits in a dozen setups around the property, moved fast. There were no mockups or “do-overs” for the video team.

Ninelight had to shoot with creativity and stealth around the photo team’s production flow.

Hue Journal shipped in maverick fashion photographer Justin Chung from Los Angeles to capture the season’s hottest offerings – from the likes of Jimmy Cho and Prospère – amid the hues of orange and brown that characterize autumn in the Northeast.

We captured imagery that matched to a tee the spirit of the photo shoot and Hue Journal’s brand culture. Anticipating the photo team’s movement inside and outside the house, optimizing for available light on the estate grounds, and carefully coordinating with the stylists, the team netted a set of visually stunning clips.

The final product, expertly edited and colored by Alex Quade, visually lays out Hue’s fall collection that was destined to fly off of the shelves.
